YIWU GUIDE

A city that sells
to the whole planet.

What is Yiwu?

Yiwu is a city in Zhejiang province, about 300 km south of Shanghai, and home to the world’s largest small-commodities market. Toys, jewelry, kitchenware, festival goods, tools, textiles — if it sits on a shelf somewhere in the world, odds are it passed through here.

For first-time importers Yiwu is the easiest door into China: factory prices, famously low minimum orders, and every part of the chain — suppliers, warehouses, forwarders, inspection — concentrated in one city.

1M+international buyers visit Yiwu every year
80K+booths inside Futian Market alone
210+countries sourcing from Yiwu
$110Bworth of goods exported every year
The Global Digital Trade Centre in Yiwu, its welcome sign listing floors for toys, baby goods, travel products and IP collections
GLOBAL DIGITAL TRADE CENTRE
THE MARKET ITSELF

Futian Market keeps growing: five districts of booths, plus the new Global Digital Trade Centre next door.

How buying here actually works

  1. Walk & shortlist. Browse booths by district, collect cards and prices. (Or skip the two lost days — join our Day Tour.)
  2. Sample & negotiate. Agree price, MOQ, lead time and payment terms per supplier — in writing.
  3. Consolidate. Goods from many booths collect at one warehouse.
  4. Ship & clear. A forwarder books sea or air freight and handles export; your side clears import.
